LA CINA ARCAICA (3500-221 a. C.)
One of the most fascinating exhibits dedicated to Ancient China (3500 – 221 B.C.) is being hosted at the Palazzo Venezia National Museum in Rome. Art treasures and culture that has never yet been on display in Italy like the bronze bust with gold mask from the Sanxingdui (三星堆) Museum and the bronze bells dating back to the Warring States Period. The exhibit is divided into five sections: The Birth of Civilization, The Advent of the Kingdom, Sacrifices to the Gods and Ancestors, Ceremonial Music and the Warring States Period. Curated by Art Exhibitions China, this exhibit is part of an agreement for the promotion of cultural heritage between Italy and China (signed by the Ministry of Culture of both countries in October 2010) and foresees a permanent exchange of museum space dedicated to the respective cultures.
