PASOLINI ROMA
Three European capitals –Barcelona, Paris and Berlin – are part of an innovative project based in Rome that celebrates the 20th century intellectual who reinterpreted the city of Rome more than any other, incarnating it in a poetic key. The exhibition hosted at Rome’s Palazzo delle Esposizioni is organised chronologically into six sections: from the poet’s arrival in Rome in 1950 to his tragic death in Ostia in November 1975. From one section to another, visitors can follow a leitmotif that traces his incredible creative vitality over the span of a quarter of a century. Pasolini’s sketches and paintings, his self-portraits as well as the ideal gallery for the painters of his time which he described with precision in a poem: Morandi, Mafai, De Pisis, Rosai and Guttuso.
