This concert is very anticipated by fans of American folk music: Joan Baez. This artist single-handedly symbolizes a generation of politically committed artists such as Bob Dylan, whose songs she has performed and recorded many times. She is an icon of pacifism and civil rights and is known as the “songbird of Woodstock”. Baez found a way to express her beliefs regarding social issues through folk music. She was the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Academy of Arts and Sciences Drive in 2007. This concert will most definitely be an exciting one. Baez will be singing the songs which made her famous and loved by her public.
