DAL MUSÈE D’ORSAY. IMPRESSIONISTI TÊTE À TÊTE
This exhibition draws a path amongst the masters of Impressionism to highlight the innovative aspects fundamental to the development of modern art while focusing upon the connotations of the individual personalities of such artists as Edouard Manet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Edgar Degas, Frédéric Bazille, Camille Pissarro, Paul Cézanne, Berthe Morisot and many others on display this autumn at Rome’s Vittoriano. The exhibit offers a portrait of Parisian society during the second half of the 19th century – a period filled with great artistic, cultural and social transformation – through the works of the Impressionists, exponents and witnesses of their time. The featured masterpieces are on loan from the Impressionist collection of the Musée d’Orsay, some of which are authentic icons of the movement.
