Nero exhibition Colosseum in Rome
The figure of Nero is revisited in this exhibit dedicated to the last emperor of the Julio-Claudian dynasty who was severely penalized in his time by aristocratic propaganda.
The goal of this show is to present recent discoveries regarding the two aspects of his reign: the Great Fire of 64 A.D. which destroyed most of the city and the resulting reconstruction policy begun by the emperor from 64-68 A.D.
The exhibit will take place in Rome’s central archaeological area in various ancient places in such a way as to create a direct relationship with the places in which Nero lived and operated before and after the Great Fire.
