The early 1920’s in Russia was a transitional period during which artistic and social experimentation coincided. In 1924 Rodčenko concentrated most of his attention on photography and the result was a kinetic change in the very concept of this means of expression. Thanks to an unyielding conservation of his family’s archives, the immense heritage of Rodčenko’s images converged into the House of Photography of Moscow, Russia’s first museum dedicated to photography. This exhibit is the fruit of the promotion of a lengthy and meticulous study campaign on the part of the artist’s family, the museum and experts in the sector.
