Over 80 works by the Catalan genius which have never been on display in Italy until now will be on view at Rome’s Chiostro del Bramante, 50 of which are large oil paintings of astounding beauty, ceramics, bronzes and watercolours. A special, in-depth look will be given to the works he created during the 30 years in which he lived in Majorca (from 1956 to 1983). This was a particularly joyous period in the artist’s life because he had finally found a large studio and workshop in close contact with Nature – his muse – which germinated new ideas and drove him to begin various works simultaneously.
