The halls of Rome’s marvellous Palazzo Incontro are opening their doors for the much anticipated exhibit of the great French photographer Elliot Erwitt. For Elliot Erwitt, photographs are shots, instant photos, moments that have been seized by candid photography – nobody ever poses. If photography is the translation of reality, there are certain realities that are only revealed to the eyes of a truly great photographer. Erwitt’s work is striking because of his intuition, intelligence and talent whether he is photographing famous people, odd characters or even passersby. Thanks to the sales of the catalogue and prints of this project (supervised by the artist), Fifty Kids will be supporting A.D.I.S.C.O., the Italian Association of Umbilical Cord Blood Donors.
