MAXXI is devoting the Mirabilia Urbis exhibition to Grazia Toderi, winner of the Golden Lion at the 1999 Venice Biennale and one of the most representative artists of Italy’s generation of the 1990’s. Three video projections will be on display for three different views of the Eternal City as seen from above: teeming with lights or cloaked in darkness. The flow of streets, buildings and piazzas becomes pattern, evocation, dilated and stratified space thus making this portrait of the Eternal City all that more intense and profound.
