As of June, for a limited time, visitors will be able to tour one of the world’s most fascinating monuments: the Flavian Amphitheatre “Colosseum” (Colosseo), symbol of the imperial pomp of Ancient Rome. Tours (guided tours are also available) are open two evenings a week – Tuesday and Saturday from 9:00 p.m. to midnight – and all levels of the ancient monument can be admired, from the Hypogeum to the Attic. The “Gladiatores” exhibit will also be open, covering every aspect of the history of gladiators in Rome: from the accessories and shining, colourful weapons that played an essential role in the entertainment at the Amphitheatre to fresco paintings, graffiti and items of daily use immortalizing the life of these brave combatants. A leap into Rome’s imperial era with the magical atmospheres of a surreal voyage.
