From the 24th of october to the 5th of April, at Chiostro del Bramante, is in program, for the first time in Italy, a show dedicated to the figure of the first absolute central character of the ancient Rome, “Julius Caesar, the man, the myth”. The show wants to start from the character of Caesar and from his politic and cultural surrounding, touching the important strong power. It will touch also his allies and opponents like Pompeo, Crassus, Cicerone and many more.
Also its military campaigns that gave him fame and wealth, his adventure and the meeting in Egypt with Cleopatra, queen of Egypt, the Roman artistic and cultural environment of those years; until his death happened in the Ides of March in 44 BC, to the succession of power in the hands of the young adopted son Ottaviano.
The show meets archaeologic documents of great beauty and importance, that come from mayor, both italian and international, museums, together with reproductions realized to rebuild Caesar’s Rome.
